You Are NOT Alone...
I've been there.
Having my hands over my head trying to figure out how I was going to make it to the next paycheck.
Over drafting my bank account. Getting payday loans with insane interest rates. Maxing out all of my credit cards. Feeling like a failure not only to myself, but feeling as if I failed my young children. At my lowest is where I finally made the decision to take control of my finances by the horns. It was NOT an overnight fix. It took several months, a lot of prayer, patience, and consistency.
I started to see "credit" as a puzzle, a puzzle in which I needed to solve like yesterday! I began with pulling my bank statements from the past 6 months, and highlighting only the ESSENTIALS (food, rent, gas, utilities, car). This allowed me to see WHERE my money was going, and I was then able to create a strategic budget for my household. Once the budget was created I began chipping away at credit card debt, starting with the lowest credit card balance and working my way up. Another key was putting away money towards my Emergency Fund. Even if it was only $1, something was going in there.
After my finances were finally in order I pulled my credit reports and worked to remove/settle any negative items. I stopped ignoring/throwing away mail from debt collectors. I began educating myself on all things personal finance with an emphasis on CREDIT.
It was time for me to face the music.
I took back control of my life, and I created Katz Credit Solutions for you to do the same.
